Analogue of the EU RoHS regulation with local color to it 

This technical regulation sets forth the requirements which limit the use of hazardous substances in products placed on the market within the territories of the Eurasian Economic Union ( EAEU) countries  - Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Regulated Products

  • Computers, electronic devices, and peripherals
  • Telecommunication and radiocommunication devices, appliances
  • Electrical apparatus, household appliances
  • Electrical office machines and equipment
  • Lighting equipment
  • Electric music instruments
  • Electric kiosks, teller machines, card readers, etc.
  • Cables, wires, and cords intended for use at a rated voltage < 500V AC or DC, with the exception of fiber optic cables.
  • Automatic switches and residual current circuit breakers
  • Fire, security and fire-security alarm detectors

Important –Exempt Products for the CU tr 037/2016

  • Products intended for use at a rated voltage > 1000V AC and 1500V DC
  • Products intended exclusively for use as components of electrical equipment
  • Electrical equipment intended exclusively for use in air, water, land, and underground transport
  • Electric toys
  • Electric batteries and accumulators
  • Photovoltaic panels
  • Products intended for use as part of ground and orbital space
  • Measuring instruments
  • Medical devices

The maximum permissible concentration of a hazardous substance in homogeneous materials in percentage weight is as follows:

Products that meet the requirements of TR EAEU 037/2016 and has passed the conformity assessment procedure must be marked with the EAC mark.

TR EAEU 037/2016 entered into force on March 1, 2018 and the transitional period ends March 1, 2020. This means that this regulation will be fully in effect starting March 1, 2020.
