What product requires conformity assessment in Tajikistan

Electrical and telecom products are regulated with the Law of Tajikistan "On the Conformity Assessment” and must meet the requirements of technical regulation “On the safety of low-voltage equipment” and relevant national standards of Tajikistan on EMC requirements to get access to the market of Tajikistan.

There is a national conformity assessment system for electrical and telecom products acting in Tajikistan, both telecom and electrical regulations ( safety/emc Tajikistan ) could be mentioned in one Tajikistan certificate

Law of Tajikistan “On the Conformity Assessment” regulates legal and structural relations within compliance assessment of products against technical regulations and national standards requirements, in most of the case it is similar to the EAEU or EU regulations

Electrical and telecom products must meet the requirements of technical regulation “On the safety of low-voltage equipment” and relevant national standards of Tajikistan on EMC requirements, similar to the EAEU or EU Standards

Technical regulation “On the safety of low-voltage equipment” establish requirements to the low-voltage equipment intended for use at rated voltage:

• from 50 up to 1000 V A.C.
• from 75 up to 1500 V D.C.

Important

The technical regulation “On the safety of low-voltage equipment” does not apply to:

• Electric equipment for reactor safety systems at nuclear power stations.
• Electric equipment intended for use in the explosive environments;
• Electrical equipment for lifts and cargo ropes (excluding electric machines);
• Electric equipment for the defense purposes;
• Automatic fence controlling devices
• Medical products , medical HF products
• Electric equipment intended for use by air, water, ground and underground transport;

Relevant standards on EMC establish requirements to all products that have embedded electronic components.

All products that are not embedded with the electronics components are out of the scope of standards on EMC requirements.

Telecom products are also regulated with the Order of the mandatory certificate of conformity in the electrical communication area receipt. According to this Order, the following categories of products require mandatory confirmation of conformity procedure in the form of certification /Telecom certificate for Tajikistan /Tajikistan radio product certification

12. Line-of-sight repeaters
13. Retransmission units (repeater units)
14. Telephone receivers
15. Payphones
16. Telegraph devices
17. Mobile phones
18. Video phones
19. Automatic telephone stations and mini-PABX
20. Auxiliary equipment for last customer access point and telephone switching exchange
21. Modulating equipment
22. Decoding devices
23. Digital and analog equipment, digitizers and analogue transducers
24. Measuring amplifiers
25. Line amplifiers
26. Cablecasting amplifiers
27. Antenna amplifiers
28. Corporate TV acquisition systems
29. Corporate or paging receiver of landline communication service
30. Point-to-point radio communication receivers

According to the technical regulations, all low-voltage and telecom products require mandatory conformity assessment procedure in the form of certification.

The following information must be indicated in the product and accompanying documentation, according to this technical regulation:

• Name and (or) designation of low-voltage equipment (type, trademark, model);
• Basic parameters and characteristics affecting safety;
• Name and (or) trademark of the manufacturer;
• Name of the country where low-voltage equipment is manufactured.

Characteristics and parameters such as nominal voltage, power and rated frequency must be also listed on the product and present on the manual or supporting documentation

Packaging must contain the following information:

• Name and (or) designation of low-voltage equipment (type, trademark, model);
• Name and (or) trademark of the manufacturer.

If it is not possible to indicate above-mentioned information on the product, it can be indicated in accompanying documents only.

Apart from the above-mentioned information, accompanying documents must contain the following information:

• Information on the appointment of low-voltage equipment;
• Rules and conditions for safe operation, installation, storage, transportation, sale and disposal;
• Information on measures to be taken when a malfunction of this equipment is detected;
• Name and location of the manufacturer (importer-authorized person), importer, information for communication with them;
• The month and year of manufacture of low-voltage equipment and (or) information about the place of application and the method of determining the year of manufacture.

You should remember that accompanying documents must be made in the official language and (or) in Russian.

In case when the product has been confirmed to comply with the technical regulations of Tajikistan, it is allowed to affix national conformity mark to such products.

Technical regulation “On the safety of low-voltage equipment” contain specific requirements to marking of product, accompanying documents and packaging. In case when the product has been confirmed to comply with the technical regulations of Tajikistan, it is allowed to affix national conformity mark to such products.

National conformity mark represent a combination of three letters “T”, “J” and “T”. Base size of this mark must be not less than 1 mm.
