New National Technical Regulation for R&TT Products in Belarus

The new national technical regulation TP 2018/024/BY on RTTE will come in force from January 2019. The TP 2018/024/BY will replace the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus #849 with regards to RTTE requirements.

Important changes - Starting from January 2019, the conformity mark TP BY is becoming mandatory to use when a product proves compliance with the requirements of TP 2018/024/BY.

he national conformity mark TP BY is formed of letters “T” and “P” symbolizing first letters of Belarusian phrase translated as "Technical Regulation". They are placed in a round-cornered frame that is broken by letters "BY" that symbolize "Belarus".

From January 2019 The national conformity mark TP BY will be mandatory for the product that meets the requirements of TP 2018/024/BY

The TR 2018/024 / BY comes into effect on January 1, 2019. Documents on conformity assessment of telecommunication facilities issued (adopted) in the National System of Conformity Assessment of the Republic of Belarus until the day of enactment of the technical regulation will be valid until the end of their validity period.

The Ministry of Communications and Informatization, in agreement with the State Standard, will approve a list of state standards interconnected with TP 2018/024 / BY, as a result of which voluntary compliance with the requirements of this technical regulation is ensured. The Ministry of Communications and Informatization also has the right to clarify the application of TP 2018/024 / BY.

At the same time, it should be noted that from January 1, 2019, paragraph 10 of the list of objects for mandatory confirmation of compliance with the National System of Conformity Assessment of the Republic of Belarus, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 849 of October 21, 2016, will be excluded.
