Technical Regulations of the Customs Union CU TR 032 «On the safety equipment of high pressure» (TR CU 032 ) /EAC CU TR 032

Technical Regulations of the Customs Union «On the safety equipment of high pressure»( CU TR 032/2013) came into force since 01.02.2014 and establishes unified obligatory for application and enforcement requirements for the safety to equipment operating under excessive pressure, which is put into circulation for the first time and intended for use on the territory of the Customs Union.

List of products for which is required to obtain CU TR 032 Certificate or CU TR 032 Declaration /CU TR 032 list of a products

• a) CU TR 032 for a pressure vessels ( EAC certification CU 032 )
• b) CU TR 032 for Cryogenic vessels ( EAC certification CU TR 032)
• c) CU TR 032 for a Hot water boilers ( CU TR 032 for boilers if having a capacity of more than 0,002 m3 , intended to produce hot water at a temperature above 110 °C, or steam , the excess pressure is above 0.05 MPa, and the vessels of the fired, having a capacity of more than 0,002 m³;
• d)CU TR 032 for piping having a maximum allowable operating pressure above 0.05 MPa;
• e) items of equipment (assembly units) and accessories for a pressure like gages, manometers, gaskets and more
• f) CU TR 032 for a pressure Valves, CU TR 032 for a Actuators, CU TR 032 for a Globe Valves, CU TR 032 for a Check Valves
• g) CU TR for a safety equipment; CU TR for safety devices and apparatus
• h) CU TR 032 hyperbaric chambers (except single medical);
• To identify the equipment and determine the need for conformity assessment procedure requirements TR CU 032/2013, you must evaluate the equipment by using the following criteria:
• a) maximum allowable working pressure;
• b) capacity or nominal diameter;
• c) the multiplication of the maximum allowable working pressure on the value of the capacity or nominal diameter;
• e) calculated temperature of the wall.

First step is to download CU TR in English 032/2013 (TR CU 032 "On Safety of Equipment Working under Pressure").

CU TR 032/2013 covers high-pressure equipment, its parts and components, safety devices:

a) - d) vessels, bottles, barrels, tanks, including tank containers with a capacity of more than 0.0001 and having a maximum allowable operating pressure of above 0.05 MPa. Detailed characteristics (pressure, volume and operating temperature can be checked in table given in Annex to TR CU 032).

e) boilers having a capacity of more than 0,002 cubic meter designed to produce hot water at a temperature above 110 degrees Celsius, or vapor the high pressure of which is above 0.05 MPa, as well as fire-heated vessels having a capacity of more than 0,002 cubic meter (Table 5 of Annex No 1 to this technical regulation);

f)-i) pipelines having the maximum allowable operating pressure of above 0.05 MPa, the nominal diameter of more than 25 mm (Detailed characteristics (pressure, volume and operating temperature can be checked in table given in Annex to TR CU 032).;

j) equipment parts (assembly units) and its components designed to be accomodated on the equipment and to withstand the pressure;

k) valves with the nominal diameter of more than 25 for the equipment with working environment of Group 1, the nominal diameter of more than 32 for the equipment used for the gases with the working environment of Group 2, with nominal diameter of more than 200 for pipelines intended for liquids used for working environments of Group 2; ATTENTION! All valves working under pressure are checked by tables I and F . 

l) indicating and safety devices;

m) low-pressure chambers (except single medical ones)

To identify the equipment and determine the need for conformity assessment procedure requirements TR CU 032/2013, you must evaluate the equipment by using the following criteria:

• a) maximum allowable working pressure;
• b) capacity or nominal diameter;
• c) the multiplication of the maximum allowable working pressure on the value of the capacity or nominal diameter;
• d) a group of working environment;
• e) calculated temperature
