Federal Drug Control Service Permit

Federal Drug Control Service Permit is a permit required for the import into the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union of the narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and intermediate chemical compounds (precursors). On the territory of the Russian Federation such permits can be issued by the Federal Service for Drug Control (Federal Drug Control Service).

Permission is provided to the customs authorities at the time of import/export of the corresponding products. The permit is also required for the later acquisition of the Ministry of Industry and Trade License.

The list of goods covered by the import/export licensing procedure, is specified in the Decision of the Customs Union Commission No. 30 «On Non-Tariff Regulation».

Permit of the Federal Drug Control Service is required for the following products:

A complete list of substances for which the Federal Drug Control Service Permit is required is specified in the RF Government Decree No. 681 «On approval of the list of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors subject to control in the Russian Federation».

Please note that some types of products (varnishes, glues, solvents, paints, etc.) may contain some substances limited for import. In this case the Permit of the Federal Drug Control Service is also required (the permission is granted for the substance contained in the product, not for the product itself).

Obtaining the Federal Drug Control Service Permit:

Permit of the Federal Drug Control Service is issued in the favor of a specific importer, and contains the name of the imported goods, trade and international names, as well as the amount of imported goods. The permit is valid for 1 year.
